Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers
• Apply a systematic approach to fault diagnosis through to rectification
• Upsell labour hours through added services offered
• Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customer’s premises
• Upsell labour hours through added services offered
• Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
• Liaise with parts department to obtain parts
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
• Ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
• Possess ability to maximise individual productivity and efficiencies
• Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses

Candidate Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• Technical qualification (City & Guilds level 3 or NVQ qualified technician)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Current driving licence
• Ability to work within and to strict guidelines given
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to proactively seek solutions to problems
• Ability to work independently and equally part of a team
• Good verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer care skills
• Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks and work to the demands of the business
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
• Computer literate

Experience / skills regarded as desirable but not essential

• HGV licence
• Experience on IVECO product
• Main Dealer workshop experience
