IVECO S-Way TurboStar Special Edition leads star-studded Truckfest line up

IVECO is using Truckfest, Europe’s largest trucking festival to exhibit a range of headline-grabbing commercial vehicles.

Visitors to the IVECO stand will get the chance to see an icon reborn in the form of the IVECO S-Way TurboStar Special Edition, the all-electric Nikola Tre BEV, and the latest IVECO S-WAY 490 ‘Fuel Hero’.

The IVECO TurboStar was a 1980s trucking legend that still has a cult following today. Paying homage to this historic truck is the IVECO S-Way TurboStar Special Edition 4x2 tractor unit based on the flagship IVECO S-Way 570hp model. This vehicle reignites that original driver passion with distinctive graphics and bespoke design details such as spotlights and air horns. It’s signature look extends to the cab with contrasting trim, unique seat designs and the iconic TurboStar logo.

The Nikola Tre BEV is an all-electric pioneer, providing a zero-emissions solution while retaining the capabilities operators require on demanding missions. Produced by the Nikola IVECO Europe joint venture at the Ulm factory in Germany, its 738kWh battery pack and unique FPT Industrial e-Axle produces 645 hp of continuous power, enabling up to 530km range. Rapid charging quickly gets this truck back on the road with a 10-90% charge possible in just 90 minutes via a 350kW charger.

Alongside these headline vehicles will also be several examples of the IVECO truck range, including the IVECO S-Way 490 ‘Fuel Hero’ which is capable of impressive real-world economy without compromising on performance.

A special IVECO Truckfest guest appearance from the Chammoth Daily van will see everyone invited to test their skills on its onboard coconut shy. As agile as a cheetah and as strong as a mammoth, Chammoth toured the UK for over 2,100 miles in 2022 and raised £6,000 for The Aspinall Foundation charity. Powered by biomethane, this Daily van produces up to 95% less CO2 than a diesel equivalent.

Truckfest takes place in Peterborough 29 April – 1 May with tickets available now.
