Sherwood Truck and Van are delighted to have supplied Kal Tire’s UK head office in Derbyshire with 3 Iveco Trakker AD260T33 6x4 rigids.
Mark Lee, Kal Tire’s Asset Manager for Europe, Africa and Australia confirmed that Kal Tire and Sherwood have worked closely for some years now, to specify vehicles that suit Kal Tire’s needs. Kal Tire whilst operating the Iveco product in the UK are also successfully operating Ivecos in West Africa too. Iveco has proven itself over the years, working productively in what is a very hard environment – the mining industry.
The vehicles were built with HMF cranes, UHL tyre handler, Supercharge intensifier operating high pressure tyre tooling, piston compressor producing 110CFM operating pressure 175psi and it’s fully integrated with remote controlled equipment. New to the vehicle is an automatic inflation system which allows Kal Tire employees to stand safely in a tyre projection zone while inflating tyres.

Kal Tire UK’s head office is located in Alfreton, Derbyshire, with 7 regional service centers and a further 6 service operating sites strategically placed throughout the UK. Kal Tire UK is also home to a state-of-the-art retreading facility producing high-quality retreaded tyres of all sizes.
Kal Tire Mining Tyres started UK operations in 1977, to service large off-road vehicles in the open cast coal industry in England. They have since expanded tyre services to other industries including quarrying, waste management and port handling. Their fleet of large-tyre fitting trucks, the largest fleet of specialist tyre fitting trucks in the UK, are on call to service customer vehicles when and where required.
