Iveco Daily wins International Van of the Year Award 2015

The New Iveco Daily has been awarded a top award at this year’s IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hannover. The IVOTY (International Van of the Year) Jury consisted of 23 members, representing the top light commercial vehicle publications across Europe and Russia. The panel shortlisted 5 vehicles from an original list of 12 light commercials, which included: the Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato/PSA Peugeot Boxer/Citroen Relay, Iveco Daily, Mercedes-Benz Vito and the Renault Trafic/GM Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro.

After choosing a shortlist, the panel were then asked to vote again. After tallying up the scores, the New Iveco Daily came out a resounding winner, with a margin of 17 points over the second placed Mercedes Benz Vito.

The Chairman of the jury, and Editor of Fleet Transport in Ireland, Jarlath Sweeney told assembled industry executives and media: “Congratulations to Iveco on designing and producing an excellent range within the New Daily family that includes both vans and chassis cabs with a broad choice of powertrains from diesel, natural gas and electric and, from next year, two all-new 4x4 versions.”

This is the second year that the Daly has won this prestigious award, the first time coming back in 2000.
