Guest Tyre & Auto Centre in West Bromwich is recognised for outstanding service

A long-standing tyre and auto centre in West Bromwich has scooped a prestigious award from Bridgestone in recognition of its excellent service for customers.

Guest Tyre & Auto Centre on Great Bridge Street - part of the Guest Truck and Van group - received the ‘Service Award’ from tyre partner Bridgestone.

Russ Paddock, General Manager at Guest Tyre & Auto Centre in West Bromwich, said he was delighted to receive the accolade and that it was a true testament to his team’s hard work and commitment to the job at hand.

“In the grand scheme of things we are a relatively small Bridgestone partner so this really is quite an achievement,” he said. “It’s a nice feather in the cap to know we are doing things right and doing it well because that’s what we always strive for.

“It’s also great for our tyre fitters to be recognised for doing such a good job. We run a tight ship here on site in West Bromwich and we have got a brilliant relationship with our customers - many of whom we have worked with for several years.”

As well as providing Bridgestone tyres, the Guest Tyre & Auto Centre is dedicated to supporting the needs of commercial vehicle operators, and has a fleet of tyre breakdown and replacement vans to ensure customers can stay on the road. The workshop also offers wheel laser alignment and tracking.

One member of staff who has been praised for his commitment to customer service is former Workshop Manager Malcolm Green (65), who retired at the end of 2017 after 24 years at the garage.

“As one of our longest-serving employees at West Bromwich Malcolm will certainly be missed by not only the team but also the customers. He played a big role in helping us win this award,” added Russ.

Malcolm said: “When you’ve been in the job as long as I have you build good relationships with people over the years. This is the second Bridgestone award we’ve won in recent years and it’s really nice to have been a part of that.”

Guest Truck and Van Managing Director, Robert Spittle, added: “Winning yet another Bridgestone award is a real achievement for the team and goes to show how committed they are to providing only the best service. I’d like to wish Malcolm all the best for his retirement and thank him for all his hard work over the 24 years he was with us.”
